Miniature robots, which are in the milli/ micrometer length-scales, have the potential to revolutionise
minimally-invasive surgeries. Magnetic soft miniature robots are especially promising as they can be
designed to perform very advanced functions, but unfortunately their design process is highly non-
intuitive. Discover more with Professor Lum on the development of a universal programming
methodology, which allows computers to automatically generate the designs for magnetic miniature
robots.
