Pint of Science Singapore

The Pint of Science festival debuts in Singapore from 14 May through 16 May. The festival aims to deliver interesting and relevant science and technology talks in an accessible format to the public – mainly across bars and pubs. They provide a platform which allows people from all walks of life to discuss research with those working in the field. The event is run mainly by A*STAR scientists and enthusiasts and was established by a community of postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers in the UK in 2012. The main festival takes place annually over three days in the month of May and simultaneously in hundreds of venues across the world.

Science Café SG

Science Café SG is a free event that is held in Singapore every last Thursday of the month. Scientists and science professionals are invited to speak in a casual setting where everyone can learn about and discuss the scientific issues of the day. The event promotes the public understanding of science and skepticism. The organisers are skeptics who are interested in promoting both critical thinking and the wonder of reality through science. You don't need to be a science major to get the talk!
